The Front Porch Staff – Providing Student Resources

Position: Director of Quality Control & Retention
The Purpose of The Front Porch:
The Front Porch is a place where students can receive refreshing encouragement when things get tough or extra assistance is needed, if they encounter a problem that their Academic Advisors or Financial Advisors cannot help them with. The Front Porch will provide a mixture of non-residential student life activities, retention efforts, and general student success initiatives, including tutoring.

Message To Our Students:
We understand that circumstances beyond your control may temporarily disrupt your normal academic progress, which may require additional counseling and/or assistance. We are here to assist you and provide you with academic resources and helpful tools you can utilize during your enrollment tenure here at LeTourneau University. So when things get tough, stop by the Front Porch and let us help you get back on track.

My Position:
My duties include assisting with student retention, student satisfaction, quality assurance, and other student success tasks. As an employee and student here at LeTourneau University I understand the academic needs of our students and I’m excited to have an opportunity to help provide assistance to our students.

Message To Our Students:
I would like to share a word of encouragement to our students, which is to forget about all the reasons why something may not work for them; instead focus on trusting God for guidance in all your endeavors. Remember, Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight” (NIV).

My duties include assisting the Director of Quality Control and Retention Advisor with student retention, student satisfaction and quality assurance.

Message To Our Students:
When times get tough, your tasks become overwhelming, and you are ready to give up, remember, Matthew 17:20 says, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you” (NIV).
